Nationally Recognized Programs
These innovative programs are a part of our National Boys & Girls Clubs curriculum and are designed to empower youth to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy, productive lives.
Academic Success
Our aim is to ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time, and ready with a plan for their future. We do this by implementing key program initiatives that promote academic enrichment. Our strategy involves high yield learning activities that allow our Club members to have fun while engaging in academic lessons.
CAREERLAUNCH: Ages 13-18
CareerLaunch prepares teens for the world of careers and work. Through CareerLaunch, Club teens 13-18 years old embark on a journey to explore vocations, make sound educational decisions, and find success in the world of work.

Computer Science Pathway: All Ages
The Computer Science Pathway, a key component of Boys & Girls Clubs’ Education & STEM programming, invites youth and teens on a journey from their first encounter with code to creative computing.
diplomas2Degrees: Age 13+
diplomas2Degrees (d2D), a college readiness program, provides a range of services to guide Club members as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education and career success.
DIY STEM: Age 9-12
DIY STEM is a hands-on, activity-based STEM curriculum which connects youth to science themes they encounter regularly.
Junior Staff: Age 13-18
Junior Staff is a small-group program that is both practical and user friendly. It assists Club members ages 13 to 18 in exploring a career in youth or human services, particularly Boys & Girls Club work.
Money Matters: Age 13-18
Money Matters promotes fiscal responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13 to 18. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save, and invest, start small businesses, and pay for college.
POWER HOUR: Age 6-18
Making Minutes Count provides Club professionals with the strategies, activities, resources, and information to create an engaging homework help and tutoring program that encourages Club members of every age to become self-directed learners.
PROJECT LEARN: All Ages
Project Learn reinforces the academic enrichment and school engagement of young people during the time they spend at the Club.
Summer Brain Gain: All Ages
Summer Brain Gain is comprised of one-week modules with fun, themed activities for elementary school, middle school and high school students that are aligned with common core anchor standards. In addition, Summer Brain Gain: Read! a literacy program, complements the larger Summer Brain Gain curriculum.
Health & Wellness
Good health requires practice and a commitment to yourself to keep moving and make healthy eating a way of life. At Boys & Girls Clubs we understand the key role health plays on the overall positive development of our youth. That is why Healthy Lifestyles is one of our main initiatives offering specialized programs to keep our Club members moving and eating nutritious diets.
PASSPORT TO MANHOOD
Passport to Manhood promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys ages 11 to 14. Passport to Manhood consists of fourteen sessions, each concentrating on a specific aspect of character and adulthood through highly interactive activities.

SMART Girls
An outgrowth of the popular and effective SMART Moves program, SMART Girls is a health, fitness, prevention/education, and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 8 to 17.
SMART Moves
The SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) prevention/education program addresses problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity.
Healthy Habits: A Triple Play Program
Designed to incorporate healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience, Healthy Habits emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being.
Character & Leadership
Developing good character and demonstrating leadership skills are critical for young people to succeed in school and in life. Our Character and Leadership programs challenge kids to be community-minded and empower them by demonstrating how they can affect change by working together.
KEYSTONE CLUB
Keystone is Boys & Girls Club’s ultimate teen program. This unique leadership development experience provides opportunities for young people ages 14 to 18. Youth participate, both in and out of the Club, in activities in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation and community service. With the guidance of an adult adviser, Keystone Clubs aim to have a positive impact on members, the Club and community.

TORCH CLUBS
Torch Clubs are chartered, small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. A Torch Club is a powerful vehicle through which Club staff can help meet the distinctive character development needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their life.
YOUTH OF THE YEAR
A recognition and awards program that acknowledges outstanding members in the Clubs. The YOY program helps young people develop their leadership and communication skills through an extensive application and interview process that is held during the annual competition. Senior winners can advance to the state, regional, and national competition. Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs highest honor.
